The East Sitra project is a social housing development, whose main mission is to ensure the provision of a vibrant and integrated master plan fully coordinated with traffic and infrastructure requirements. The project is to be built on a reclaimed island of 253.4 ha connected to the Shk. Jaber Sitra Highway by two main accesses adequately located on the western plot boundary.

Hence The master plan emphasizes on: providing adequate communal facilities with maximum seafront; separating between vehicular and pedestrian circulations, promoting safety and dynamic visual experiences and offering harmonious assemblage of housing blocks to avoid monotony and to promote neighborhood identity.
