Another interesting example of GHE heritage projects, is a reconstruction of Mohammed bin Faris’ house at the same site of the original building. A ruined house was rebuilt and then opened in 2005 as a museum commemo- rating the achievements of the Bahraini singer and musician Mohammed bin Faris.
The building consists of a single 85 sq.m floor accommo- dating a courtyard covered by a glass skylight, one room with front arcades and a small area for services. The courtyard & the room work as exhibition areas supported by an integrated sound system.
The project saves the building from a state of despair, turning it into a magnetic cultural destination impacting positively on its surroundings.
